Featherston Town Board.

The ÜBiml monthly meeting of the Featherston Town Board was held on l&< nday. Present Messrs Reynolds (Chairman), Cundy, Donald, Hodderand Oakly. The minutes of the last regular meeting, abo of special meeting of the 21st, wcie read and confirmed. The Treasurer's statement showed a balance of £127 18b Bd. The following accounts were passed and paid : —Eli Bloxbam, £0 18s; John B<el,£l2 2b Id ; Vim. Benton, 12s; Clerk, and Sundries, £1 8r 7d ; Joseph H. llodder, £5 ; W. Hodder, £2 ; Burt, 8s 4d. Poundkeepcr's report was read and fees paid in £2 8s Cd. Tlie Inspector's report was read. The Banger's report was read and fees paid in £1 4s. The Clerk paid in rents, £5 5s 9d. The Collector reported rateg collected to date, £76 12e 3d ; arrears, £4 14b lOd. The Dog Registrar reported that several dogs in the town, were still unregistered and that he intended taking proceedings against the owners at once. Notice cf motion by Mr Oakly,—"That a subscription of £5 be given to the Featherbton Town Band." Correspondence Inwards was read.— k rom Property Tax Department, with forms clearing rates on Crown Lands. The following tenders were received for < forming footpath at Empire Hotel :—James I Smith, £l3 ; J. B. Davy, £7 19a Cd, (ac- • cepted). Resolved, that cattle be allowed to graze on the streets from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m.
