A corespondent of a Wanganui paper say the real reason of the general failure of dairy factories throughout the colony is to be put down to the fact that the factories have based their calculations on the figures given them by Mr Bowron’ and he states that if the cheese had brought the 8d or gd at Home that he (Mr B.) stated it would, the results would have been greatly different from what they have been at qd and sd. An exchange says;— There is said to one lawyer in heaven. How he got there is not positively known, but it is conjectured that he passed himself off for an editor and slipped in unsuspected. When his dodge was discovered, they searched the realms of felicity in all their length and breadth for another lawyer to draw up the papers for his ejectment but they couldn't find one’ and, of course, he held the fort.
