THE GRAND ANNUAL SHOW, Under the Auspices aud Direction of the WAIRARAPA AND EAST COAST PASTORAL AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY, Will be held on the SOCIETY’S SHOW GROUNDS, AT CARTERTON ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1885. THE Show will include Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Pies, Implements, Farm and Dairy Produce, Vehicles and Industrial Exhibits. The Society will as iu previous years, oiler about ibrty gold and silver medals, ns well as cash prizes, in each olthe above stated sections of exhibits, ami in addition hereto a large number of valuable special prizes iu ca'-h and iu plate have been promised, bringing the total amount of all prizes fully up to the average of the last three years. A Leaping Match, a Shearing Match, and a trial of Sheep Dogs, will lake place on the Grounds during the afternoon. Programmes and Prize Lists giving full information as to conditions of entry, regulations for judging, and ail otherdetaib are now being prepared and will be published aud circulated shortly. Arrangements will be made to run special trains at reduced rules, also to have the Show Day proclaimed a Lank and General Holiday throughout I lie Valley. Intending Exhibitors are informed that entries close on SATURDAY the 2llh day of October, 1885, at noon, either at the Secretary’s Cilice, Carterton, or at the olhcesof Messrs It. j&rown and Co., Masterton ; E. JJ. Wood and Co., Greytowu j ami J. D. Oakly, Featherston, and, that no entries can be received after that date. All communications iu reference to the Show’ addressed to the Secretary at Carterton by letter or telegram will be promptly attended to.
