Industrial Exhibition.
THE OPENING. At a meeting of the musical and ceremonial committee, on Tuesday night, it was resolved ihat at the opening ceremony the Governor .-hould be received with a salute and a guard • f honor ; that the National Anthem should t e sung, and also cue of the following choruses:— “ Hail Bright Abode,” “ Grown :Le Day with Festal Pomp,” “Music Spread Thy Voice Around,” “ How Excellent Thy Name. ’ Sir Julius Vogel, as the chief promoter of tbe Exhibition, will then be requested to deliver an address setting forth tbe objects of the Exhibition, and requesting his Excellency to declare the Exhibition open. After the Governor’s address, the other choruses will be sung, and the assemblage will disperse. Band contests are to take place every Saturday evening. The evenings of the fith and 20th of August are set apart for oratorios. It has been definitely decided to open the Industrial Exhibition on Saturday, tbe Ist of August.
