Volunteering.
The second match for the Honorary Surgeon's Cup, was fired on Saturday, by the Gieytown Rifles. The weather was far from favorable as a strong baffling wind was blowing with showers of rain at frequent intervals. The following are the scorers :
* Ammunition Prizes. The final match for this cup will be fired on Saturday nest at ‘2 p.m. and will conclude the shooting season. The other prizes will be held over until next season, they consist of the ” unknown ” cup, Lieut Cameron’s cup, Lieut Varnham’s album, and Sergt Williason's and Vol Ingley's prizes. To-morrow evening the members of the Greytowu Rifles arc expected to muster in full force as it is the intention to go through some of the most probable movements for the review on the Queen’s Birthday. After drill the company will meet to pass rules, and appoint a committee to carry out the annual soiree in June.
