The New Resident Magisstrate.

Mk W.U!DRI.I. tins now been definitely appointed Resident Magistrate of Wellington, and will no longer do Magisterial duties in the Wairarapa. Mr Stratford, the Resident Magistrate at Naseby, iu Otago, is to be appointed lI.M. fur the Wairarapa District. Mr Stratford will also act as Coroner for the District. We do not know anything about Mr rtrit ford, but trust that he will proven good and competent Resident Magistrate. There will be general regret experienced in the Wairarapa District at the final departure of Mr Warded from it, Mr Wardell has been an able Magistrate and a kindly and estimable gentleman, whom everybody liked.
