GEBYTOWN HORTICULTURAL AND INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY, THE AUTUMN SHOW Will be held in the TOWN HALL, GREYTOWN, ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6. Full particulars in Catalogues, to be had from the Members of the Committee and the Secretary. The following special prizes will be given at the forthcoming Horticultural Society’s Show, at Greytowu Mr A. Chisholm, for best tinted drawing of a ball (in pencil) on a stand of any kind, 10s. Free hand drawing, “No compass,” Mr D. Cameron, best 2 dozen eggs, 2s. Mr Barnard, sonr, best collection artificial fruit, prize value ss. M. Caselberg and Co., for the best collection ladies’ fancy work, a pair of handsome vases. Mr F. H. Wood gives prize of 7s 6d for beat specimen of knitting. Best crewel work, Mr G. Gardener’s prize value ss. Best collection wool work, Mr Clark, Carterton, prize value 10s. Mrs Mauusell will present a prize for best flowering shrubs. Mr W. C. Buchanan has promised a special prize, and Messrs Fabian Brothers kerosene lamp for most points in butter. Mr Hillier, silver broach, first prize; Mr Hillier, broach and earrings, second prize, for best arranged button hole bouquet.
