Wairarapa West County Council.

A special mooting of the Conn -il was held on Saturday bast for the purpose 1 1 icceiving the engineer's reports upon the proposed Waiiiubna bridge, and the propose I deviation of the Martinborough-Pahaiw road ; also for the consideration of certain propositions brought forward by Councillor Phillips. Owing to a misunderstanding re the Bme of meeting (which as stated in our former report was arranged for ten a.m.i, several Councillors did not arrive until the whole of the orders of the day were disposed of. Conae qaently, as the meeting at about half pa*t eleven although declared adjourned, had not dispersed, it was determined to re-open the deliberations. At this time there were present Crs W. Booth, (chairman), J. Martin, inn.. H. E. Bunny, J. Tally, C. Phillips, A. Matthews H. Braiihwaite. and H. Bunny. Mr King, the engineer, bad arrived and tendered hisrepoits.
