BEER HOAX
Three hotel-keepers have each lost a cask of beer this week as a result of a hoax. Each received a telephone message purporting to come from a fellow proprietor short of beer, asking for tne loan of a cask to be called for. At each place a messenger called and collected the beer, which has obviously gone to supplement someone’s private Christmas supply.
