CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. _ The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their first sale of the new year at Cambridge on Monday, when a small yarding of cattle came forward. The entry included a pen of light fat Shorthorn steers, which were keenly sought, and sold well. Cow and heifer beef was in moderate supply, and values remained firm. Potter bulls and boner cows showed an easing tendency. Pigs: There was a medium yarding. Stores and weaners, of which there was a good entry, sold well, values being well up to December quotations. We quote: Cattle: Light fat Shorthorn steers £8 15s, fat cows and heifers £4 18s to £5 15s, lighter £3 6s to £4, heavy boners £2 to £2 16s, lighter 29s 'to 38s, heavy Shorthorn bulls £7, heavy Jersey bulls £5 7s to £6 18s, lighter £2 15s to £4 10s, Jersey heifers, r.w.b. £2 JOs. Pigs: Medium porkers 35s to 37s ( lighter 30s to 335, goods stores 25s to 27s 6d, good slips 22s to 23s 6d, good weaners 18s 6d to 21s 6d, smaller 12s 6d to 14s. TAUPIRI PIG SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Hamilton, report that their commencing sale for the New Year at Taupiri on Monday was a very good one. The yarding of both porkers and baconers was a heavy one; in fact, the yards were filled to capacity. Porkers and light baconers predominated, but supplies of heavy baconers too were quite good. A full bench of buyers were operating, and a complete clearance readily resulted, with rates throughout being well maintained right up to schedule prices. Store and weaner pigs were in comparatively short supply, and accordingly met with a remarkably keen sale. Interest centred principally in well grown stores. We quote: Heavy baconers £2 Ils to £2 14s, medium £2 8s to £2 11s, light baconers and heavy porkers £2 3s to £2 7s 6d, medium porkers 36s to £2 2s, small 33s to 355, best grown store pigs 24s to 27s 6d, medium store pigs 20s to 235, slips 15s to 18s 6d, large weaners Ils to 14s, young sows to £2,
