DAIRY COW PRICES. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Company, Limited, Hamilton, report* on their Frankton dairy sale held on Wednesday as follows: —A good yarding of dairy heifers and a small yarding- of cows which consisted mainly of medium quality stock, met with good competition, and prices obtained were better than at previous sales. We quote: Medium quality Jersey heifers, close to profit £3 15s to £5, more backward do £2 10s to £3 10s, late calvers £1 10s to £2, good qmalitv Jerseys cows, close to profit £3 ss"to £4 15s, more backward and late calvers £2 to £3. HAMILTON DAIRY SALE. Messrs Dalgety & Company, Ltd., report having held their weekly dairy 5i.1,1 e at .Frankton saleyards on Wednesday. There was a large yarding anil a good attendance. For really will grown good quality and low condtioned heifers there wUs really good competition, but medium heifers realised only moderate prices. We quote: Good quality well grown heifers £4 15s to £l6 10s, med iim heifers £3 to £4, low condition and backward £2 to £3, cows £3 to £5 10s, inferior ditto 30s to £2 10s. MOiRRINSVILLE HORSE SALE. 'Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their Mor-r-insville horse sale on Thursday as under. There was a small yarding and all good sorts offered commanded good competition at full market rates. The following were the principal sales: —Draught geldings £36 10s, £35 10s, £35 10s £3l, £3O, aged geldings £2l 10s, draught mare, aged, £2B, £l6, £36, aged and inferior sorts £4 to £O, harness and sundries at late rates. TE AWAMUTU STOCK. SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report: At Te Awamutu on Thursday only a light yarding of sheep was penned, there being no alteration in prices. A medium yarding of cattle was penned, prices being slightly easier on roughed sorts of fat cattle. A good yarding of dairy heifers met with a fair demand, prices being firm. Quotations: —Sheep: Fat hoggets, prime 24s 9d, store lambs 14s 6d, aged ewes, due to Southdown ramls, 15s 6d to 16s. Cattle: Medium fat steers £6 8s to £7 2s 6d, medium fat cows £3 15s to. £4 10s, lighter £2 5s to £3 12s, good conditioned cows £1 IGs to £2 ss, stores £1 8s to £1 15s, boners 9s to 255, choice Jersey heifers close to profit £4 15s to' £6, more backward sorts £3 15s to £4 10s, inferior quality 35s to £3, sound young cows £3 to £5 10s, older cows £1 15s to £2 10s. Pigs: A medium yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, competition was keen from a medium, bench of buyers and prices realised Wore on a par with late quotations.
