BREAKS INTO HOTEL BAR In the bar of a William-street hotel, a man chased the wife of the licensee and threw bottles at her. The bar Avas badly damaged and later a man Avas charged at the Darlinghurst Police Station (says the Sydney Sun). The police state that the man suddenly became violent, and the wife of the licensee slammed the bar door and locked him out. The man, however, smashed the glass portion of the door and broke into the bar. His hand was badly cut. The Avife of the licensee, and other people in the bar, fled before the enraged man. The police allege, that the man then grabbed bottles of beer from the counter and hurled them at the Avoman, without hitting her. The bottles crashed against the Avails of the bar and broken glass Avas littered all over the floor. The man then raced from the hotel. The Darlinghurst police were informed and Detective-Sergeant Deary and Constable Hogan found the bar in chaos. There Avere pools of blood all over the floor.

The police. folloAved the blood trail some distance down the street and it led them in a circle.

As they were again nearing the hotel, the police saAV a man, who Avas arrested and taken to the police station.

He later received medical treatment for an injury to his hand.
