RING IN JUNK

An order was made by the Bow Street magistrate recently for the commissioner of police to deliver a ring worth £IOO to Mr H. E. Lait. a jeweller, of Earle's Court, London. It Avasi explained that in April, 1933, Mr Lait bought what appeared to be old junk from a girl. He gave the girl 2s 6d, but while cleaning the articles, he found the ring. He took it to the police, and it had not been . claimed. The magistrate said that Mr Lait acted "very properly" in taking the ring to the police.
