TE RAHU NOTES

(Own Correspondent.) A record attendance was the outcome of the Te Rahu Tennis Club committee's effort in running its fortnightly dance on Saturday last. Many visitors were present from as far as Auckland (having came through to attend the Waipa Racing Club's meeting at Te Awamutu during the day). At one stage an estimate of the number actually on the floor was 45 couples. Mr s E. Holmes was in good for,m at the piano, assisted by an extra played by Mrs A. Bowler, while Mir T. Flay carfried out the duties of M.C. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mjss R. Cole and partner. The drawing of the lucky number for the lady's knitted jumper was postponed until a later date.
