- HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The .Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— The weekly stock sale in the Franktor:. •saleyards was held as usual on Tuesday, 19th inst., when we had a heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep, and in the majority of cases the quality was first-class. Competition was steady throughout, and values were slightly better than last week. Fat lambs were again yarded in good numbers and sold at schedule rates. Cattle: A medium yarding of ox beef met with an improved market, while cow and heifer beef was in short supply, and piices again showed an advance. Stores and boners remained at last week's quotation's. Pigs: A short yarding of all classes of pigv came forward, prices remaining very ftnm. Quotations: Sheep: Prime heavy wethers 27s 6d to 28s 7d, medium* quality 25s 6d to 26s 3d, l.'ght 23s 9d to 24s 7d, heavy prime ewes 21s 3d to 23s 9d, medium 19s to 20 s 9d, light lTf.s lOd to 18s 6d, extra heavy prime lambs 26s 6d, heavy prime woolly lambs 23s 3d to 24s 7d, medium 21s 3d tc 23s 9d, heavy prime shorn lambs £1 to 22s 6d, medium 18s to 19s 6d, light 15s to 16s 6d. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, lepcrt on their weekly Frankton stock sale on Tuesday as fellows: —Cattle: Again only a small yarding of ox beef came forward, and prices were on a par with last week's quotations. Fat and store cattle were yarded in average numbers. Prices en the former were slightly in advance of last week'!: quotations, the latter remaining firm. We quote: Good fat bullocks £6 2s to £7 3s, medium do £5 13s to £6, light do £5 tc £5 10s, prime fat cows and heifers £4 15s to £5 ss. good quality do £4 to £4 12s 6d, medium do £3 *2s 6d to £3 15s, light and unfinished do £2 5s tc £3, fresh conditioned do £1 16s to £2 2s, forward Istores £1 9s to £1 15s, inferior do to £1 ss. Sheep: An average yarding of fat sheep met with good competition, well finished sorts being keenly sought after. The prices remained firm at late rates. A pen of extra prime fat wethers, on account of Messrs Van Houtte and Nollet, realised £1 9s, heavy fat wethers £1 5s to £1 7s, medium do £1 3s to £1 4s 6d, lighter do £1 Is to £1 3s, extra heavy fat ewes £1 Is to £1 3s 2d, good do 19s to £1 Is, plain do 14s to 17s 6d, heavy fat lambs £1 tc £1 3s 2d, medium do 18s to £l, light do to 17s 6d. Pigs: A .small yarding of fat and store p'gs was penned, prices remaining firm at late rates. A nice pen of baconers from Mr Robert Gollam, cf Ngahinepouri, realised £3 15s.
