- HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The .Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report:— The weekly stock sale in the Franktor:. •saleyards was held as usual on Tuesday, 19th inst., when we had a heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep, and in the majority of cases the quality was first-class. Competition was steady throughout, and values were slightly better than last week. Fat lambs were again yarded in good numbers and sold at schedule rates. Cattle: A medium yarding of ox beef met with an improved market, while cow and heifer beef was in short supply, and piices again showed an advance. Stores and boners remained at last week's quotation's. Pigs: A short yarding of all classes of pigv came forward, prices remaining very ftnm. Sheep: An average yarding of fat sheep met with good competition, well finished sorts being keenly sought after. The prices remained firm at late rates. A pen of extra prime fat wethers, on account of Messrs Van Houtte and Nollet, realised £1 9s, heavy fat wethers £1 5s to £1 7s, medium do £1 3s to £1 4s 6d, lighter do £1 Is to £1 3s, extra heavy fat ewes £1 Is to £1 3s 2d, good do 19s to £1 Is, plain do 14s to 17s 6d, heavy fat lambs £1 tc £1 3s 2d, medium do 18s to £l, light do to 17s 6d. Pigs: A .small yarding of fat and store p'gs was penned, prices remaining firm at late rates. A nice pen of baconers from Mr Robert Gollam, cf Ngahinepouri, realised £3 15s.
