Before routine business was proceeded with at Monday's meeting ot the Wjaipa County Council, Cr Macky extended a hearty welcome to Cr R. J. Graham, the newly-elected representative of Kaipaki riding in succession to the late Cr R. Speake. He said Mr Graham was well and favourably known to miojst of the councillors, and all were confident he would prove a Worthy representative. ATI would assist him in every possible way and with his full knowledge tof the needs of his own riding the ratepayers there should be well served. The late Mr Speake had set a good example, and if the new member did as well the ratepayers would want nothing better. Mr Graham replied in suitable terms, and said he would always do his best for the whole of the county. He much appreciated the goodwill Conveyed to him by the chairman and all mieimbers.
