Mr Albert Russell told his audience at the Town Hall last evening that at present 51 per cent of New Zealand's imports from Great Britain came into this country free of tariff, but he pointed '' out that a very large proportion of this free import was raw material used in this Dominion's secondary industries, the manufacturers of which were able to pass on tho cost to the consumers.
