CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. At Cambridge on Wednesday the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company had a moderate penning of fat and store cattle, principally the latter, and the entry sold readily at full late market values. A few dairy heifers were in good demand, and good prices we're realised. Medium numbers of store and weaner pigs were yarded, and everything sold in a ready market, brisk competition ruling up to values appreciably higher than recent rates. Good-quality fat cows made £3 12s 6d to £4 ss, medium ditto £2 15s to £3 ss, lighter ditto £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, forward ditto £1 12s to £2 2s, good stores. £1 Is to £1 10s, others to £l, good-quality Jersey dairy heifers £6 to £7 10s, medium ditto £4 15s to £5 15s, good-grade Jersey bulls £5 10s to £7 10s, large store pigs £1 4s to £1 12s, slips 17s to £1 2s, large weaners 12s to 15s, smJaller ditto to 12s. TE AWAMUTU SALE. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report having held their Te Awamutu stock sale on Thursday, when a light yarding of sheep maintained ruling rates. A smaller yarding of cattle came forward}, all classes selling freely at prices on a par with recent quotations. A good offering of dairy cattle, consisting chiefly of calved Jersey heifers, sold with brisk competition., ' Quotations. Sheep: Fat ewes, shorn, 14s lid, woolly fat ewes 17s lid; woolly fat hoggets 245. OTOROHANGA STOCK SALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton report on their Otorohanga stock sale held on Wednesday as follows: —A fairly heavy entry of fat and store cows all sold," bringing late rates. A good yarding of yearling heifers were not in very keen demand, though a few quality pens realised satisfactory values. A fair entry of grade Jersey bulls mostly changed hands under a firm demand. A special entry of dairy cows on account of Mr C. McDonald sold in conjunction with the Farmers' Auctioneering Co., were mostly quality cattle, and were well competed for. The rest of the en-
try of mostly inferior quality did not meetjwith the same reception. Though more than the usual supplies of store and weaner pigs were penned, there was a ready and everything sold well up to recent values. PIG PRICES AT TAUPIRI. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton report on their Taupiri pig sale held on Thursday as follows:—A most successful sale is reported, a large number of both fat and store pigs coming forward and selling well up to ruling rates. Support was well maintained in the fat pig section, and total clearance being effected at prices well up to vendors' reserves. Store and weaner pigs were in keen demand good quality stock especially soliciting keen competition. Judging by this and the previous sale, the Taupiri pig sale shows every indication of being able to compete with other centres, and thus well warrants the support of settlers in the district. We quote: Choppers up to £2 10s, heavy baconers £2 10s to £2 15s, medium do £2 3s to £2 7s'. light baconers and heavy porkers £1 17s to £2 2s, medium porkers £1 12s to £1 15s, light porkers £1 7s to £1 lis, good stores £1 5s to £1 10s, poorer do £1 to £1 4s goodweaners 16s to 19s 6d, inferior do 10s to 14s.
