| WAIKATO MARKETS. HAMILTON STOCK SALE. At Frankton yards on Tuesday the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company penned a heavy yarding of fat ewes, which met with a steady sale at rates slightly lower than last week's. Fat wethers were again in short supply, and prices rose accordingly. There was a good yarding of fat lambs, with last week's values fully maintained. An average yarding of ox beef came forward, all classes remaining unchanged at late rates. There was an extra heavy yarding of cow and heifer beef, the quality also showing an improvement on last week. However, the heavier yarding was reflected in values, which were inclined to recede. A line of prime fat Polled Angus cows on account of Mr D. Finlayson sold at £4 10s to £5 Is; boner cows sold at late rates. The yarding of fat pigs was again a fairly heavy one. The sale throughout was firm' at rates easily equal to those ruling at last week's sale. A large yarding of stores sold readily at late quotations, except perhaps weaners, which eased slightly towards the close of the sale. At Frankton on Tuesday the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company had a small yarding of sheep in comparison with last week's entry, and by far the largest proportion of fats were ewes. ' On account of the small yarding wethers advanced, but demand was barely maintained on ewes, which receded slightly. There was no change in lamb values, though the entry was a small one. Heavy woolly wethers made 24s 6d to 27s 6d, good-quality ditto 21s to 23s 6d, medium ditto 18s to 21s, heavy shorn wethers 23s to 26s 6d, lighter-quality ditto 18s to 225, heavy woolly ewes 17s 6d to 19s 6d, lighter ditto 15s to 17s, good-quality shorn ewes 14s 6d to 16s 6d, lambs 18s 6d to 225. Heavy supplies of fat bullocks were penned, but there was practically no difference from last week's prices. As a result of an extra heavy yarding of cows and heifers prices fell .materially from the advanced rates ruling last week, though the previous sale's levels were maintained. There was not much dhange in the store calttle section, where a large yarding changed freely at late market rates.
