—<► MUSSOLINI’S DEMAND Signor Mussolini recently addressed a letter to the new Fascist Secretary of the Milan, district in which he outlined the rules of conduct for Fascist chiefs, says the Christian Science Monitor. The Duce’s direc- * tions are included in the following six points:— 1. Do not frequent by day, and still less at night, the so-called: de luxe resorts —restaurants, theatres, etc. v . 2. Go about on foot as much as possible, and when it is necessary to take an automobile, use one of a utilitarian type, or better still, a motor-cycle. t 3. Do not appear at official ceremonies with a silk hat on your head, but wear the simple black' shirt of the Revolution. 4. Do not change in any way your habitual way of living or your tenor of life. 5. Keep strict office hours and listen to no matter how great a number of persons with the greatest patience and a sense of humanity. 6. Frequent the working people and he with them not only morally, but in a practical way, especially, during these difficult times. As soon as this letter was made public, Signor Starace, Secretary of the Fascist Party, gave orders that a copy of it should be sent to all the members of the Fascist hierarchy, *■" with, instructions that the Duce’s directions should be rigorously carried out.
