CLUB FDT.TUIRES CONTINUED. Beautiful weather prevailed yesterday for the Wednesday players, and the greens at Victoria Park were fully patronised. Tn addition to several non-competition rinks the club competitions were -advanced a further stage. In the pairs championship the semifinals between J. A. Hawkins and G. F. Slmith and A. Wood and C. A. Finch ended in a win, for the former pair. On Saturday next the, finals will be played, Hawkins and Smith trying conclusions with J. Haines and R. Ross. ' . ! In the handicap pairs I. M. West and S. Dowds beat W. MeCreadjy and L G. Armstrong. . In the Shea Cup matches W. J. North (20) beat T. Finch (19). This was a most closely-contested game, and was watched with much interest, particularly in its closing stages.
