PRINTERS BEAT EDITOR
INSERT STORY OF THEIR OWN GRIEVANCES
The proprietors and editor of a Shanghai paper recently received a terrible shock on opening their own morning paper to find two columns in the main news page devoted to the alleged grievances of compositors and printers. Determined to air their grievances, the compositors and printers waited until the journalistic staff had gone, then took out two columns of news on the main page to make room for an exhaustive and pungent account of various complaints that they had against the management, and of the strike they decided to declare. The papers were then printed and distributed in the usual manner.
