WEDDING BELLS

DALLAS—BELL.

One of the largest congregations that have ever attended at St. Saviour’s Church, Pirongia, assembled on Wednesday evening of last week for the wedding of Miss Adele Aub'n Bell, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter H. Bell, well-known and old residents of the Pirongia district, and Mr Desmond C. Dallas, second son of Mrs and the late Mr Dallas of Auckland. The Rev. S. R. Wareing, vicar of Te Awamutu, was the officiating clergyman, and the church had been beautifully decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride. Miss Bell entered the church on the arm of her father, and was charmingly attired in white embossed satin, with tight-fit-ting bodice falling into long flares, and she wore the customary veil held in place by a cluster of orange blossom. A remarkably pretty sheath of lilies added a’so to the pleasing effect. In attendance as bridesmaid was her sister, Miss Reine Bell, Wearing a blue satin dress, with tight-fitting bodice falling in long flares and she wore orange and blue (Iceland poppies and anemones) in her hair and earrmd a bouquet of the same flowers. Mr A. C. Steen, of Te Awamutu, carried out the duties of best man. Miss Aubin, an aunt of the bride, officiated at the .organ, and played Mendels- i sohn’s “Wedding March.” After the ceremony the happy couple were showered with confetti as they left the church, and an informal reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Mrs Bell receiving her guests in a grey flecked tweed costume, with hat to match.
