Owing; to the inclemency of the weather the dance at Kihikihi organised in aid of the Anglican Church funds on Thursday evening last was •not as well patronised as it deserved, but those who did brave the elements were well rewarded for their courage. The floor was in splendid condition for dancing, and excellent dance music was dispense* by the Bright Star Boys' Orchestra, and a pleasing extra was by Mr H. Brill. In the supper room a progressive euchre tournament was played, and after two hours of exciting play the winners proved to be Mrs H. Wallace . and Mr G. Walker; An exceedingly _ tasty supper was provided by the ladies, after which dancing was continued. During the evening two Monte Carlo dances were decided and created much interest and amusement; the winners -were Miss Brown and partner and Miss Penny and partner.
