There is a possibility (says a. Hawera correspondent) that Eltham"will be used as headquarters for passenger flying by gir Charles Kingsford Smith after his proposed Australia-New Zealand flight to New Plymouth. On the property of-Messrs Qum Bros.. close to Eltham,. there is an area that would probably be suitable for the Southern Cross,'and Mr T. H. McWil-' iiams, one of the Tasman flight crew,, intends to inspect it to ascertain its : suitability for a. permanent aero-, drome. The flight will probably be / attempted next month.
