OFFENCES IN KING COUNTRY. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) TE KUITI, Friday. In the Magistrate's Court this morning George Richardson, aged 24, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary at the Farmers' Trading Company's branch store at Hangatiki; breaking into and stealing from the Farmers'' Auctioneering Company's premises at Otorohanga a roll of bacon valued at 22s 6d on March 15; and also stealing a bottle of whisky from a private residence. Accused was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court at Auckland on the breaking and entering charges, and was sentenced to 21 days' imprisonment for stealing the whisky.
