Public Notices. REQUEST. "W7TLL Te Awamutu Householders hand in to Waipa Post circulars delivered to them yesterday advisingl the free delivery of a newspaper. It is perhaps unique in the experience of journalism in this country that a newspaper should place any one advertiseij in complete control of its circulation. It is an established principle in newspaper practice that no merchant interest shall have control, and obviously in this instance the newspaper concerned is beholden to one firm for its existence in Te Awamutu, the plainest inference being that its policy in politics, etc., must conform to the dictates of the advertiser. These circulars will be of considerable interest to all members of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association and others directly interested, and it .will be appreciated if residents will hand copies in at the Waipa Post Office. With thanks in anticipation. A. G. WARBURTON, Manager. LAND SETTLEMENT. J)R. A. H.
