RETURNING FROM NINETY- | MILE BEACH. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. It was announced yesterday that Mr Norman Smith and his racing car the Stewart Enterprise, wi.l return to Auckland to-morrow from the NinetyMile Beach, where Mr Smith has been awaiting favourable conditions to enable him to attempt to break the world's one-mile speed record. No official statement has been made regarding Mr Smith's return, but it is understood that he contemplates taking his car back to the beach at the end of next week and that while it is in Auckland it will receive an overhaul. The car will come down by Steamer and Mr Smith will motor It is understood that Mr Don Harkness, designer and builder of Mr Smith's car, will arrive in Auckland from Australia next week.
