RECORD OF EL ARISH.

,■ Mr A. M. Samuel's popular hunter, 'EI Arish, will, next August, be 26 years of age. For many years this horse has been a competitor at Soutfh 'Auckland district shows, winning several champion hunter events and gaining numerous .prizes altogether. El Arish has jumped 487 fences this sea>;son without coming to grief at any. -• : ' This year he has won 14 firsts', 10 "seconds, 10 thirds,, 4 championships, l '2 reserve championships, 1 gold cup, 3 silver cups, and a substantial sum of prize money. During the period Miss Kathleen Fisher has ridden El Arish to four first places and one second place, and Mr. Frank Baker has.ihad a similar number of successes Von the horse. Mr H. A. Bell, of Cambridge, has stabled and trained El Arish for some - I!' years., and kept him in excellent order; for ,the hunting field and the show-ring.
