ITEMS OF INTEREST. (Our Resident Representative.) With the end of the shooting season near at hand, sportsmen are eagerly ranging the countryside in search of game. The best reported total bags to date, secured by Otorohanga men, have been got by M. Pratt, W. Seymour and R. F. Park, in that order. Grey duck were the chief contents of their bags, but also included were numerous pheasants, hare, quail and ..,'■ rabbits. W. Seymour during six :' days' shooting, secured 40 ducks, 6 ',:'■ brace of pheasants, 6 hares and nu- .. merous quail.
