mbi a recent performance. For three . minutes it danced, "while the audience, ; pit, gallery, and stalls, at the London Hippodrome rose to their feet. The ; ghost was Anna Pavlova. Hundreds of people had crowded into the London Hippodrome for a special performance by the Pavlova Company, the proceeds of which are being devoted to the erection of a memorial to the famous ballerina. Q- The house, which was* packed in . every corner, had beejgpgowing for -*'Vu encore of Spanish dance by Vincento Escudero.
Suddenly the clapping ceased.
