TE AWAMUTU LADIES’ CLUB. Members of the Te Awamutu Ladies’ Club are to play a L.G.U. medal match next Saturday, for which the following draw has been declared: Mrs Teasdale v. Miss H. Focke, Mrs F. C. Blundell v. Miss A. Montefiore, Miss K. Woolly v. Miss Irwin, Miss A. Lees v. Miss H. Civil, Miss M. Clark v. Miss Cameron, Mrs J. Oliphant v. Miss W.| Manson, Mrs E. Bryant v. Mrs R. Jones, Miss J. Jeffrey v. Mrs M. Barnett, Miss Burke v. Miss M. Wynyard, Miss J. Manson v. Miss M. Kay, Miss P. North v. Mrs A. J. McGovern. It is interesting to note that} Miss Muriel Paton, general secretary of the Ladies’ Golf Union, was a visitor to Te Awamutu a few days ago, to inspect the new links, for whichshe set a par. She commented thet the. layout of the links is very pleasing in-* deed, but the surface conditions are r somewhat rough at present. The links are to be formally opened on Saturday of next week, with a match ladies v. gentlemen. The links are an enlargement of the present nine ' course, and now the club has a course of sixteen holes.
