A FEW TIPS

ADVICE TO THE WOULD-BE' CHORUS GIRL.

If you have ever had any ambition to go on the stage you will be interested in Laurence Schwab's advice to ambitious chorus girls. Schwab is known as one of the ranking directors of musical ensembles for both stage and film entertainments.

" If a girl had only dancing ability and a pretty face and figure, she'd be a beautiful girl with nimble feet," Schwab says. "The main thing for her to possess is personality; next to that is grace. "There are three things I always caution chorus girls to watch carefully—'knees, hands, and eyes. " It is well to remember that it is at the knees that the legs bend. If a girl learns to use her knees gracefully the legs will take care of themselves. " The hands and arms are more important than one imagines. If a girl is clumsy with hands and arms this lack of grace detracts from hei oth\er charims, and no matter how beautiful a face or figure she has the audience automatically watches her clumsy hands and arms. "Next to the legs, the eyes are watched most carefully by the audience. Girls should get a sparkle in their eyes. This puts over their personality. They must also learn how to cast their eyes through the audience so that each person in the house gets the idea that the girl is looking directly at him."
