JOE E. BROWN SIGNED AGAIN. A new five years' contract has just been signed with Warner Bros, by Joe E. Brown, the wide-mouthed comedian. Since his introduction to the Vitaphone talking screen, Brown's popularity with the movie public has risen with each new appearance until today he is one of' the ace box-office attractions of the picture-making inf dustry. Brown's last Warner Bros, vehicle seen on Broadway was " Maybe It's Love," and another one is coming soon entitled " Sit Tight," in which he is featured opposite Winnie Lightner. Brown's 38 years have mostly been spent on the stage; he has been a circus acrobat, a burlesque comedian, a vaudeville trouper, a musical comedy star, and now a star of the picture screen.
