TEST AT RUAKURA. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) HAMILTON, Friday. A queen bee test, which was commenced at the Ruakura State Farm last November, has been won by Mr C. A. Smedley, of Te Awamutu. The total weight of the winning hive, including pollen and hon%y taken on February 17, was 3721 b. Mr Smedley's queen produced bees, which gathered and stored not less than 1991 b,; of honey. w * The test, which is open to apiarists throughout the Dominion, was instituted with the object of encouraging the breeding of better honey-produc-ing strains.
