BUTTER EXPORTS

BIG SHIPMENTS TO LONDON. It has been decided that the motorship, Limerick, which is now at Auckland to complete her Homeward loading, will not call at Halifax, but will proceed direct to London. In addition to frozen meat and other cargo, the Limerick is taking approximately 65,000 boxes of butter, of which 62,000 boxes are to be loaded at Auckland. This is the largest single shipment of butter from the Dominion for some time. When the allotment was made it was expected that some of tire butter might be sold to Canada, but apparently this has not been done, and the ship will take the whole of the shipment, approximately 1625 tons, to London. Other large shipments of butter to be lifted for London during the next four weeks are: Argyllshire, 20,800 boxes; Corinthie, 17,000 boxes; Port Gisborne, 50,000 boxes; Rangitiki, 54,300 boxes; and Mamilius, 14,500 boxes. Of the above shipment, 124,000 boxes will be loaded at Auckland.
