Radio advice was received by the Union Company, Wellington. * this morning that the royal mail steamer Tahiti, which left Wellington on Tuesday afternoon- for San Francisco, lost a propellor at 4 a.m. to-day, when about 460 miles from Rarotonga. She has apparently broken down and the company's island steamer Tofua, which left Suva yesterday for Mukualofa, and the steamer Ventura, enroute from Sydney to San Francisco, are proceeding to her assistance. The Tahiti has 128 passengers on board. Gastritis overcome by eating Yeaston Tablets; pure yeast only.—Obtainable from W. Jeffery, chemist.
