POWER STATION FIRE.

SERIOUS DAMAGE TO PLANT. (Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) NORTH, Wed. The damage caused by the fire at the Public Works Department power sub-station at Bunnythorpeiss variously estimated at from £12,000 to £l4 000. It is expected that it will take seven months to bring the substation into operation again, but the full service has already been restored through an adjacent sub-station. Mr W. Greig, the operator, dashed from the building after being warned by blue flashes from the_n> strument board, and he was only oust clear when the building roared into flames. Its destruction was complete in a few minutes.
