DANCER’S PET SPARROW.
A few weeks ago Senorita Tina Meller, the Spanish dancer in the London revue “Wake Up and Dream,” was walking through St. James’s Park, when she found a sparrow with an injured wing. She took the bird home, cared for it, and it is now (says the “ Daily Mail ”) her constant coimfianion. She carries it in a little basaj' suspended, from her wrist, and it accompanies her to her dres-sing-room, and never attempts to fly away, although the window is open at all times. It will hop tdf'the rim of a glass of water and drink, will jump from shoulder to shoulder, and will do almost any trick that a dog can do. When walking in the park the bird V will fly to a branch in a tree, and when its mistress is ready to go she whistles, and it returns at once.
