FLYING IN AUCKLAND

MOTH ARRIVES FOR AERO CLUB (By Telegraph. Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland Aero Club’s Moth aeroplane, which was to have arrived at the club’s landing ground at Ihumata from Christchurch yesterday afternoon, was delayed by rain and fog shortly after leaving for Blenheim just before noon, and the pilot, Major G. R. C. Cowper, Was compelled to make a forced landing near Kaikoura. Later*in the day Major Cowper continued the journey north and flew to Hawera, where he arrived about 6 p.m., after experiencing favourable weather conditions. He intends to continue the flight at 8 a.m. to-day if the weather is favourable, and is expected to arrive at Ihumata between 10 and 10.30 this morning.
