HOW TO GET WORK

INCONVENIENCE TO MINERS. (Bv Telegraph. Press Association.) WAIHI, Friday. As the result of representations made in the matter of Waihi unemployed to the Minister of Public Works by the Mayor and secretary of the Miners’ Union, Mr F. Wilson, inspector of factories and representative of the Labour Department .at Hamilton, visited Waihi this morning and made inquiries regarding the position. Mr Wilson stated that all the men requiring work must in the first instance fill up the required form of application at a post office, and forward the same to him at Hamilton. Applications would then be sent to the department in Wellington. Some 23 men need work here, and the mode of registration at a post office, instead of dealing direct with the local union, is objected to as causing unnecessary delay.
