NEW FORD PLANT

Announcement was made recently that Henry Ford will erect a new Ford factory at Dagenham, Essex, and "will seek tlo employ 10,000 British workmen." The London Daily Telegraph states the factory will be, on a small scale en the same all-embracing lines as the plant at Detroit, and will include blast furnaces, steel rolling mills, and, in short, all the machinery for making the entire Ford car a purely Britlish production. Some 10,000 employees will find work when the plant is in full swing, as Mr Ford's present aim is to supply not only Great Britain, but the British Empire with the new Ford vehicles. The Trafford Park works expect to turn out 30,000 cars and trucks this year.
