XTOTICE is hereby given that the Kawa Drainage Board proposes to raise a special loan under the provisions of "The Local Bodies. Loans Act, 1926." The purpose for which the loan is required is "the widening 'and"deepening of the main drain and No. 2 drain from the outlet to the railway. The amjeunt proposed to be borrow-

Tho proposed security for the loan is a special rate of 8-Sd in the, pound on the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Kawa Drainage District classified "A," and ?id in the pound on the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable, property in the said District classified "B." It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable in 30 years with interest at 6 per cent per annum, and to make provision for repayment by means of a sinking 1 fund of lh per cent per annum of the amount of the loan. In pursuance of the provisions of Section II of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," I hereby give public notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Kawa Drainage Board upon the above proposal, will be taken at the Board's Office, Burchell's Buildings, Te Awamutu, and the Board's office, Te Kawa, on Wednesday, the nineteenth day of December, 1928, between the hours of 9 o'clock in the forenoon and G o'clock in the afternoon.
