Young (Reform) for Hamilton, and was beaten by 4275 votes. For tike Raglan byelection last year Mr Martin topped the poll with 2241 votes for Labour, Mr A. H. Waring (Reform) .being next with 2059. Seavill. Mr Seavill, a farmer at Waingaro, has a splendid record of service on jocal and public bodies, land carries the Reform standard. He was second to Mr Waring last year in the selection of a Reform candidate to oppose Mr W. Lee Martin, and this time he easily secured nomination. He did not make the strong impression in his election addresses that Mr Miartin adhieved, but his staunch support of the Government ensnired for him every Reformer's vote.
