FARMER DRUNK IN CAR

Norman Clifford, a middle aged farmer, well known throughout the Morrinsville ..district, was fined £2O to-day and his driving license was cancelled for two years. He, had admitted being intoxicated when in ehargei of a car. , The prosecution arose from an accident which occurred on the Kereone road on September 17. When defendant 'was driving home, he collided with a stationary car occupied by a Mr Lock and hisi son. The car was badly smashed and M'r Lock, senior, had his ja|w injured. , A constable said he found Clifford sifting in his car, as. drunk as dould be. Defdndant had paid all costs in connection with the acoident, and he was feeling his position keenly.
