COMPANY SECRETARY CHARGED. WHANGAREI, Monday. A well known company secretary annealed 011 remand to-cf&y before Mr E. Y. Whimp, J.P.-, on a charge of facing to account for £235 lls lid, the property of a local Society. The defalcations were alleged to have taken place between July 1 and July 31. Accused was further remanded until October 8, when the preliminary hearing will take place before a magistrate. At accused’s initial ■ appearance on September 21 he was admitted to bail on personal security of £250 and two sureties of £250 each. Suppression of accused’s name was ordered.
