TE AWAM.UTU BRANCH. The meeting of the local committee •was held on Monday, Mrs H. Y. Collins presiding over an attendance of 14 members. A letter was received from Arapuni stating that the Plunket scales enquired about had been received there in a state of disrepair. They had been repaired by the Arapuni Committee, and were now being returned. The secretary said the scales had arrived and were now at the Plunget rooms. The committee was of opinion that as Ajrapuni had had the Scales for three years an expression of thanks for their use Would not have been out of place. The Whangarei branch wrote thanking tfnle local branch for information supplied.
After considering the report of the discussion at the tenth general conference regarding the printing of annual reports, the comlmittee decided to proceed with the printing of the local report and balance sheet. The nurse's report showed 17 new cases for June; 49 visits paid to homes; 135 adults, 118 babies, and 24 older children visiting the rooms; total visits 326; babies under supervision, 149; visits to out districts, 10. Instructions for inducing immunity and warding off colds embodied in the nurse's report were listened to with great interest. The box donations for the month totalled 245.
