Cr Clarke has interviewed nearly all the ratepayers affected, and at Monday's meeting of the Waipa County Council he quoted the result of his representations. Three had signed opposing the proposal, and seventeen were in favour. There were still one or two who had not indicated an opinion.

Cr Clarke suggested that the necessary consent to raise the loan be applied for from the Local Bodies' Loans Board. —Agreed to.
