GENERAL ELECTION

REFORM AND RAGLAN SEAT,

WELLINGTON, Monday. The statement was recently made by the Hon. A. D. McLeod, chairman of the New Zealand Political Reform League, that it was anticipated that the selection of a candidate in the Reform interests for the Raglan constituency, which was lost to the Labour Party' at the by-elections last year, would be made very shortly after the Easter holidays. In reply to a question to day. Mr McLeod said the work of organisation was in progress and he expected that the announcement of the official Reform candidate would be made next month. Work was also in progress for the selection of Reform candidates for other se'ats which ware' not at present held by the party.
