A NAVAL DESERTER
DISCHARGED FROM CUSTODY. (By Telegraph. Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday. William Wesley Bryant, a deserter from the warship Delhi., came before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court this morning. Sub-Inspector J. Mathew said he had communicated with the naval authorities and they had intimated that they did not want Bryant arrested. He was accordingly discharged from custody.
